Job Title: Staff Psychologist
Summary: We are seeking a licensed psychologist for full-time positions which can be worked as 5 8 hour days or 4 10 hour days. High pay rate of $343,000 - 364,000/year. We have one location for a doctorate level clinical psychologist that is one hour South of San Jose. This is an independent contractor position and malpractice coverage is provided. All psychologists in these positions work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Duties:
Work within multidisciplinary treatment teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nurse practitioners assigned to manage patients across the acuity spectrum, from inpatient, to crisis stabilization, to outpatient services. The Psychologist provides clinical psychological services and must be able to perform the following functions:
Conduct initial mental health evaluations including psychological and substance abuse case history to assess patient’s clinical needs and make treatment recommendations
Work effectively and cooperatively with multidisciplinary staff in order to enhance the quality of professional working relationships and patient care
Develop a therapeutic relationship with the patients, families, and caretakers in order to enhance effective treatment delivery
Conducts clinically sound suicide risk evaluations including clinical review, applying suicide risk assessment protocols, pertinent data/chart reviews, proper documentation and consultations as needed
Meets with patients requiring crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, or face-to-face interviews
Identify the relevant signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders in order to comprehensively assess, diagnose, and manage the presenting symptomatology
Write clinical chart notes regarding diagnoses, prognoses and develops treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice
Consult on complex cases with supervisor, treatment team members, and with the institutional healthcare personnel, and other departments when requested
Establish collaborative relationships with community programs, groups, agencies, board and care homes, etc. to develop supportive community relationships as requested
Provide relatives/caregivers with information concerning patients in person, by phone, or by correspondence after receiving appropriate signed release of information for that individual
Give input and help to implement new programs for the treatment, training or rehabilitation of patients
